RESEARCH & EXTENSION ACTIVITIES

The Department of Textiles & Clothing has a linkage with 'Raja Marathi Vikas Sanstha ' of Government of Maharashtra since 1999 as it has published a ' Dictionary of Terms ' in Textiles & Clothing (Vol.8 ). Collection of design & colour studios Dictionary covers topics on fibers, yarns, weaves, fundamentals of clothing, fashion, consumer textiles, marketing, knitting, etc. The staff is constantly engaged in practical oriented researches which focus on (a) Time & Cost effective experiments (b) Encourage students to explore the possibilities of applying the classroom teaching for professional growth.

I ) Internship as part of active research to evaluate the performance of students in industry.

II) a) Audio Visual Teaching Aids have been prepared for various subjects
eg. samples, charts , slides & video cassettes. These provide a direct learning
experience to the students.
