for admission
| I a) |
H.S.C.
or Std. XII examination conducted by any statutory Higher
Secondary
School Certificate Examination Board with at least one paper of English language.
Any other examination that may be duly recognised by the University/
Executive Council as equivalent to the above examination. |

college has specified number of seats reserved for
SC/ST/DT. NT./OBC as per government policy. |

Admission
to B.Sc. Home Science - II year.
A student who has passed B.Sc. Home Science Part I from any other recognised
University would be eligible for admission to B.Sc. Home Science Part II
of this University. |

All
admissions are provisional till the eligibility is approved
by the University.
The following original certificates together with the photo- copies should be
submitted with the eligibility form :
(i) H.S.C. or its equivalent examination certificate.
(ii) H.S.C. or its equivalent examination mark sheet (2 photo- copies).
(iii) Migration Certificate (For students coming from other Statutory Boards).
Only a transference certificate will be required from a student who is
seeking admission to this college after leaving any other college
conducted by or affiliated to the S.N.D.T. Women's University. |

A
student will be eligible for admission to a particular
field of specialisation only if she has cleared, as per
the rules, all subjects prescribed as prerequisite subjects,
subject to fulfilment of other conditions, which the
respective department may have stipulated. |

Successful
completion of 120 credits with a minimum of C grade in
each subject is essential to be eligible for B.Sc. Home Science degree. |
| VI |
Permission
to do B.Sc. in another area of specialisation in Home Science:
A student, who had obtained a Bachelor's degree in one of the specialisations
of the degree course, would be permitted to secure admission to another specialisation.
In such cases, a degree would be awarded in the second area of
specialisation provided the students complete all requirements, i.e. 52 credits
for the degree in the second area of specialisation. However, exemption will
be given to the courses already completed in the first area of specialisation. |

Duration
The duration of the B.Sc. Home Science degree course is
of 3 years (6
semesters) after Higher Secondary Certificate examination. Each
semester consists
of 16 to 18 academic weeks.


Students
Aid Fund facility is available for deserving students.
^^ Laboratory deposit and caution money are refundable to students leaving
the college, provided they are claimed within six months from the date of leaving
the college and no dues are payable by her to the college. She is required
to submit the laboratory deposit and caution money fee receipt and return her
identity card at the time of claiming the above amount without which no refund
will be given. Additional laboratory fees will be collected for some practical
oriented subjects.
- Library fees are payable at the library separately.
- Rs. 100/- will be deducted for Home Science Associaition of India Pune chapter
along with Rs.%0as processing charges.
- Rs. 50/- will be deducted for Alumini Associaition of SNDT HSc. College.
Payment
of Fees
The college fees should be paid within the prescribed time limit at the Bank
of India, Extension counter located in the campus. A fine of Rs. 10/- per day
will be charged thereafter. The timings of the bank for payment of fees will
be Monday to Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
Refund
of Fees
(1) Payment of fees is considered as confirmation of admission.
(2) 75% of the tuition fees will be refunded if a student leaves the college
within a fortnight of the commencement of the semester or payment of fees,
whichever is earlier.
(3) 50% of the tuition fees will be refunded in the case of the student, who
leaves the college after 15 days of her admission to college, but within 30
days from the date of the commencement of the semester, whichever is earlier.
(4) Fees other than tuition fees will not be refunded.
(5) Full fees will be refunded to students who are admitted provisionally but
found to be lacking in meeting the minimum requirement of eligibility. Rs.10/-
will be deducted as incidental charges.
Attendance
Requirement
A candidate shall be required to attend at least 75% of the number of practicals
and theory classes separately for each subject of study in each semester and
only then, subject to other conditions being fulfilled, be eligible to appear
at either the College or the University examination.
Financial
Aid Scholarship and Freeship : Will
be given to deserving and needy students, subject to the fultilment
of conditions attached to various scholarships and freeships.
Students must submit details regarding their financial status
to the office, if desirous of receiving some financial aid. They
should contact the staff members in-charge immediately after
admission to the college to enable the office to guide them.
All formalities for scholarships are to be completed within the
first month of the academic year.
