National Service Scheme

National Service Scheme is India’s largest Students youth movements, a noble experiment in academic expansion. This include the sprits of Voluntary work among the students or teacher through sustained community interaction, to combine knowledge and action, which gives maximum exposure and experience to help the youth to find avenues of self employment. Thus eventually helping the government and non government organization to achieve their goal in National development.

The NSS is launched as an alternative to NCC
1. last 35 years NSS is working in Pune campus
2. Total 350 volumes i.e. 31/2 NSS units presently running in Home Science College from FY and SY BHSc
3. Programme officers are
- Ms Shinde Sulakshana
- Ms Vrushali Nagarale
- Ms Bharati medhe
4. Sulakshana Shinde is an project coordinator for Malnutrition university level project. And total 15 Home Science College are working under these project from Maharashtra state
5. Principal I.P.Awasthi is one of the university NSS advisory committee members

6. Each NSS volunteers complete 120 hrs. in one year through Regular activities.
7. All NSS volunteer maintain their Dairies and Also wear NSS BADGR while work
8. 50% volunteers are send for state level and national level camp , workshop, as well as award selection.
