Eligibility

A candidate with an overall average of B grade or equivalent (55%) marks in the first Bachelor’s degree of Home Science from a recognized University is eligible to apply for admission.
In special cases the Graduates from allied fields with good academic records may be considered for admission to M.Sc Home Science degree provided they fulfill the necessary prerequisites. The Head of the Department would determine prerequisites at the time of admission. For the prerequisites extra fees will be charged. A student has to complete the prerequisites to the satisfaction of the teacher concerned and obtain a satisfactory report.
A candidate who appeared for all the papers and practical of the examination the Bachelor’s degree may also apply in anticipation of the declaration of the results provided she produces College / University grade sheet showing overall average marks.
She may be given provisional admission subject to satisfactory performances, which may be withdrawn if the candidate fails to succeed in examination.

Note:

1.	Results of the entrance test will be displayed on the notice board as per the above schedule. Only the successful candidates of common entrance test will be interviewed.
2.	Students admitted should collect the challan from the office and pay the fees during banking hours ( 10:30 am – 1:00 pm ), failing which their admission will stand cancel.
3.	Fees should be paid to Bank of India, S.N.D.T Extension counter.

P. G. Diploma in Dietetics (PG DD)

PG.Entrance_2009-Schedule.

Eligibility:

Graduates in Food Science and Nutrition, Dietetics, Microbiology / Biochemistry / Life Science. Preference will be given to graduates in Food Science and Nutrition / Dietetics.

Objectives:

The course P. G. Diploma in Dietetics in designed to train the students in diet therapy, clinical nutrition, patient counseling with catering management for effective dietetic practice and patient care. After an intensive course work of one year the students undergo 6 months internship in the hospitals to gain practical experience.

Duration of the Course: 2 years and 1 month internship in Textile or Clothing industry related area.
